This is the place where you can personalize your profile!
But, how?
By moving, adding and personalizing widgets.
You can drag and drop to rearrange.
You can edit widgets to customize them.
The bottom has widgets you can add!
Some widgets you can only access when you get a premium membership.
Some widgets have options that are only available when you get a premium membership.
We've split the page into zones!
Certain widgets can only be added to certain zones.
"Why," you ask? Because we want profile pages to have freedom of customization, but also to have some consistency. This way, when anyone visits a deviant, they know they can always find the art in the top left, and personal info in the top right.
Don't forget, restraints can bring out the creativity in you!
Now go forth and astound us all with your devious profiles!
This summer is surprisingly busy for me. Usually (well aside from when I marched in 2011) I don't really have much to do aside from maybe a short trip or two. I just got home from my college's marching band council retreat up in the mountains, which was mostly fun. There was some stuff towards the end that really upset me, though. My advice to anyone who runs an organization? Don't put people on the spot with the intention to humiliate them in order to "break the ice," because it's not funny; it's hazing, even if it's not actually hurting anyone.
Last week I officially became a sister of Sigma Alpha Iota International Music (women's) Fraternity. ^_^ I really enjoy the company of the sisters in my chapter; they're all generally great people and fun to hang out with. I'm also an officer for my chapter already, which is an honor.
For my honors college, I will be working on 8 medium-smallish sized (about 2'x3'?) paintings in the next couple of weeks of vineyards and grapes. It'll be a fun challenge; I'm not a big fan of paint, but I'm also one of the only art majors of the honors college. This fall we get another girl majoring in art, which is super awesome and I'll have a buddy. x) We also have another girl who is majoring in something related to business, but she is artsy and will probably be pursuing a minor.
I'll be headed down to the Disney Hall to perform with my college's wind orchestra next month, and will also be performing at my flute studio's flute choir concert. Comic-Con is gonna be coming up in a couple months too; can't wait! And of course, west coast DCI shows (I wish they all could be California!) Other than that, practicing drawing! I hope to have some pony art for you guys, since I know a lot of you watch me for it, and I also hope to improve on my art skills too!
How have you guys been? Any neat things coming up for summer?
-- If you march to the beat of your own drummer, you should probably hide from your band director.
Woo, I haven't updated this in a while!
